Next Screening: “Thrill of the Chase” (Friday, June 3, 2011)

June 3, 2011
8:00 pmto11:00 pm

"Apex Predators" by Sarosh G. Jacob

The title of this show says it all. This month on the Wall, watch as predators discover their prey and find adventure within the hunt. Don’t be fooled  - this is not a screening of films one would expect to see on a nature channel but a series of artistic takes on what happens between those doing the chasing and those being sought.

All eleven films differ wildly in their stylistic approach, as well as, the natural realms they explore. It’s a non-violent screening perfect for the whole family.

The Great Wall’s New Look

In case you haven’t stopped by the Great Wall of Oakland recently, we have a new look! Several local artists took paintbrushes to the Wall, added our logo and beautiful graffiti to make us stand out from the crowd. Aren’t we pretty?

Special Thanks to: Monika Lea Jones and Joseph Gubernatis (Wall signage) and Estria, Vogue, Chor Boogie, Jase, Apex, Bam and King (Wall graffati)

Alfonso Alvarez of Alva Films, also spiffed us up with a new Sizzle Reel. Check it (right corner of this site).
