Have you ever wanted to see your art on the 100′ urban canvas that is the Great Wall of Oakland? Now is your chance!

The Great Wall has partnered with the Oakland Museum of California with generous support from the Black Rock Arts Foundation to bring you the Oakland Rover, a tricked out mobile museum complete with all the technology needed to create your very own stop-motion animation.

From 4-7pm, the public is invited to learn about stop-motion while creating one their own by coming to the Rover, parked on W. Grand and Valley, below the Great Wall.  No experience in animation or any serious technical skills are needed to participated in this amazingly creative and FREE opportunity available for all ages!

Beginning at 8pm, all of these animations will be projected onto the Great Wall during Oakland’s Art Murmur.

Not sure what stop-motion animation is? Check this out.

Don’t miss this freakishly cool opportunity to create public art in Oakland! Be there.
